Close to 700 donors contribute at Mestalla blood drive

Close to 700 fans donated blood in an initiative held in the Mestalla VIP Box on Tuesday, with a free ticket to either Valencia CF's game with Real Betis or Osasuna an added incentive for taking part.
Carlos Soler and Gio Carreras, on behalf of Valencia CF and VCF Femenino, were also present at the stadium to congratulate donors for their participation. A single donation of blood has the potential to save three people's lives.
Along with Soler and Carreras were José Luis Zaragosí -a Valencia CF board member and patron of the VCF Foundation- and Cristina Arbona director of the Valencia Region Transfusion centre.
The collaboration between the three entities began in 2001. Since then, close to 14,000 people have donated in initiatives at Mestalla.
